NOW Rumsfeld tells the truth

I'm wondering if this is a "known known" or a "known unknown" or was it one of those elusive "unknown knowns"?

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld acknowledged Thursday progress in the Iraq war has not been going ''well enough or fast enough'' in his first extended remarks since announcing his resignation under political pressure.

[...]

''I will say this -- it is very clear that the major combat operations were an enormous success,'' he said, of the March 2003 invasion in which Baghdad fell within weeks. ''It's clear that in Phase 2 of this, it has not been going well enough or fast enough.'' (Emphasis mine)
Yeah?

No shit, Sherlock. Not that there was ever a need for Phase 1, but Phase 2 didn't go quite as planned because, well, there was no plan.

Try not to let the door hit your ass on the way out you pompous, sulphuric prick.
