The poison spreads . . .

THE TORONTO STAR has a frightening report by Emma Pullman and Martin Lukacs: ‘Nobody understands’ spills at Alberta oil sands operation. There's been a bitumen blow-out — and they don't know how to stop it. This apparently originated from a government scientist. The question is, how long has the Stevie government known about this, and what are they doing about it?

A - they've known about it since it was discovered, and, B - squat. Welcome to the Gulf of Mexico on the Athabasca.

You probably noticed these leaks, all four of them, are on the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range (CLAWR) which ensures there'll be no journos snooping around.

its sad....and scary too....that I've heard so little about this latest spill, given I could drive to Cold Lake in 2-3 hours. All that shit will eventually end up here one way of the other as we are downstream.
